Do one thing, and do it well. That's been the approach at IDAPP since we were first established by the State of Illinois in the year 1977. Student loans - period. And one simple mission - make college affordable for Illinois students. And we’ve done just that. Since the beginning, we’ve helped hundreds of thousands of students attend college.
IDAPP is a not-for-profit organization that brings students, colleges and lenders together in a unique and important way. It's a system that works - for all three partners - with the ultimate goal of lowering the cost of borrowing for higher education.
Sticking to the basics.
Unlike banks and other loan providers, we never try to sell additional financial services. No credit cards. No insurance products. We provide student loans, and that's it. And IDAPP never sells or releases our customers' personal information. Everything is totally private and confidential. No worries. No distractions. Nothing to sidetrack the student's financial standing or educational goals.
IDAPP, a Division of ISAC...
IDAPP is a division of the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. While IDAPP manages your loan information confidentially, the rest of the Illinois Student Assistance Commission provides students of all ages and backgrounds with the resources and support to obtain financial aid for higher education. A state agency, ISAC has paved the path to post-secondary education with innovative programs for more than 50 years. Last year alone, ISAC continued its mission to make college affordable for Illinois students by issuing more than 186,000 grants and scholarships totaling nearly $431 million.
The Commission coordinates educational funding with student loans, as a loan guarantor and via numerous public programs such as the successful Monetary Award Program (MAP), the Illinois Veteran Grant and College Illinois!sm the Commission’s groundbreaking 529 prepaid college tuition program. Students and families have free access to a wealth of financial aid and college planning information at www.knowhow2GOIllinois.org.
